Billie Eilish to debut host on ‘Saturday Night Live’ – NBC New York

Laughter is definitely in Billie Eilish’s future.

The 19-year-old singer will present her own episode of “Saturday Night Live” on December 11, the NBC comedy show reported. In addition, she will assume a dual function and will be the musical guest of the episode.

Needless to say, Billie was happier than ever when her new gig was announced. She responded to the news on Thursday, November 18 by posting an image of the iconic “SNL” bulletin board on her Instagram account.

“AHHHHHH !!! I HOST AND PERFORM ON SNL !!!” she wrote in the caption. “CRAAAAZY I COULD SCREAM!

The artist from “Lost Cause” added: “See you soon !!”

This will be the first time Billie has hosted “SNL”. She had previously played in the premiere of her 45th season in 2019, when Woody Harrelson was the host.

Also on Thursday, “SNL” announced that Paul Rudd, who was recently named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, will close his calendar year by hosting his December 18 episode. Singer Charli XCX will accompany him as a musical performer.

Billie Eilish’s most memorable moments

It has certainly been a great year for Billie. Not only did she add two more Grammys to her ever-growing collection of awards, but she also released her second studio album, “Happier Than Ever,” this summer and ushered in a new era – with a hair transformation – in her. career.

In an interview with Rolling Stone published in June, Billie said she wanted her new record to reflect her evolution since appearing on the music scene with “When we all fall asleep, where do we go?” in 2019, to critical acclaim.

“Every time I hear someone say, ‘Oh your songs sound the same’ it touches me,” she said. “It’s something that I really try not to do. I think the people who say that have literally only heard ‘Bad’ and ‘So I am. “”

Still, Billie didn’t let her criticism deter her. When an internet troll claimed she was in her “flop era” before the release of her latest album, the singer applauded with passionate words. She wrote alongside a TikTok video of herself listening to one of her new songs: “Literally everything I see on this app. Eat my dust, my t-ts are bigger than yours. “

With another huge performance on the horizon, it looks like Billie is getting everything she wanted.
