Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Publishing, Jon platt, will participate in a key conversation at the Music Business Association’s Music Biz 2022 conference, which will be held May 9-12, 2022 at JW Marriott Nashville.

Platt has spent his 25-year career working with accomplished songwriters including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Drake, Pharrell Williams, and Rihanna. He greatly influenced the dominance of hip-hop music by elevating the way R & B / hip-hop artists are respected and paid as songwriters.

Additionally, Platt’s universal and universal leadership style helped set the standard for how songwriters are paid, as Sony Music Publishing was the first company to accelerate foreign royalty payments.

“Among the many seismic changes our industry has experienced over the past couple of years, one thing that stands out is the growing profile of the publishing industry, especially when it comes to the streaming economy,” said the President of Music Biz, Portia sabin. “With his tireless work to support both legendary and new songwriters, Jon is perfectly placed to discuss these changes, and I am honored to discuss this and more with him at our May event.”
