LG Unveils 2022 TV Models with Improved Picture Quality, More Sizes and EFTM ‘Smart Lifestyle Services’

At CES 2022 today, LG unveiled its new TV models for 2022, headlining their OLED TVs. The new televisions offer an improved webOS interface offering comprehensive intelligent features and services and improved imaging technologies.

The top-of-the-line OLED models are the G2 Series TVs, designed to be “the next step in the OLED evolution”. Powered by the new LG α (Alpha) 9 Gen 5 smart processor, Brightness Booster technology gives the G2 series the ability to deliver even more brightness with improved heat dissipation and advanced algorithm. The 2022 G2 series arrives in a new 83-inch model and the world’s first 97-inch OLED model, in addition to the 55, 65, and 77-inch models already in the lineup.

The G2 series also offers a new design with an attractive “flush-to-the-wall” design. The new 2022 C2 series models offer even more sizes – six in total – 42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches. Although now a gallery design, the C2 models offer slim bezels for that immersive viewing experience.

UX enhanced

WebOS will also see an update for 2022 with user profiles now available so that each user can enjoy a personalized experience with quick access to the services they use the most, as well as viewing history. and real-time alerts on favorite teams and more.

One major upgrade that may go under the radar of many is Matter’s new support. The LG ThinQ AI upgrade now enables the TV to become a hub for the smart home, and with Matter support it will hopefully be at the forefront of smart home services for years to come.

The new interface will also allow LG 2022 models to easily switch between game-specific features and display presets directly from the TV’s Game Optimize menu. There is also a new sport mode for graphical setup which provides the best sports gaming experience.

Improved image quality

LG has improved the picture quality of the already impressive OLED panels with the 2022 OLED models with the new panels offering 100% color fidelity, 100% color volume, are certified to be flicker-free and ‘glare-free of discomfort. “. The interactive experience

To complement the announcements, LG revealed new services to deliver a personal and interactive experience at home.

LG Fitness is a new app that aims to help users enjoy a healthier lifestyle at home with included workout plans based on system recommendations. You can also choose your own workouts from selections like HIIT, full body stretches, guided meditation, and more. The app will keep track of your activity and progress just like a phone app would.
