Rising actress, model and producer Anna Oris spoke about her career in the contemporary entertainment scene.
What inspires you as an actress and model?
It’s a good question. I am inspired by people, good music, movies, books, ocean, weather, sun, art, architecture, classical concerts, love and charity. These things give me a lot of energy to bring out my creativity. I am inspired by a variety of activities. I like to do different things every day and that inspires me.
I believe life is so diverse that we could and should use every moment and every opportunity in our lives. Also, I get inspired by inspiring other people and helping people. I’m inspired when I work on big projects where I can help people and share my experience.
What’s it like to be an actress and model in the digital age? (now with streaming and technology being so prevalent)
I think I call this time an evolution. I can say that at the moment it’s very difficult and yet at the same time it’s very interesting. It’s hard because every day something changes and you have to be so flexible and adaptable to those changes. Otherwise, only one will be left behind.
One good thing about this evolution is that it created a lot more opportunities. There are currently around 50 streaming services in the United States. Moreover, with the numerous social media applications, one now has the opportunity to share one’s own work with people all over the world. Directors, producers and casting agents follow social networks to find talent. For this reason, I spend a lot of my time creating and updating my social networks.
Sure, there’s so much more competition, but the quality of work that’s done is a bit amateurish at times. There is also a loss of personal contact in auditions now that they are online, so an individual’s energy and aura cannot always be appreciated.
What are your plans for the future?
Of course, to have as many opportunities and work as possible. I’m lucky not to be just an actress. I am also a successful model, singer, writer, producer and influencer. For example, this fall, I’m already booked for two projects. One is a comedy and the other is an action movie. My modeling and printing work is constant throughout the year. I’m also finishing the scriptwriting and production of three films.
Who were your biggest inclusions growing up?
When I was very young, between 5 and 10 years old, I liked to watch Disney cartoons, especially Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”. I always thought how I could be a mermaid. I always sang his songs. I loved watching movies and imagining how I could be an actress in Hollywood.
When I was little, I watched the movie “Terminator” and I loved Arnold Schwarzenegger so much. I think because I saw him as a hero. He was therefore my first source of inspiration. I don’t even know how to explain this. Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts were also huge influences in my acting dreams.
When I became a teenager, I started modeling. I was so obsessed with it. I loved it so much when the stylist changed my look by coloring my hair or cutting my hair, doing my makeup and dressing me in different outfits.
Which actors would you like to work with one day as dream actor partners?
I would love to work with Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Blunt, Keanu Reeves, Anya Taylor-Joy.
What does the word success mean to you? (My favorite question)
Success is when you are happy in all aspects of your life. When you manage to find a balance between your family, your friends, your career, your finances and your spirituality. When everything in your life is full and you feel happy and satisfied.
What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
I want to thank them because they are my true inspiration. I hope all the characters I play will have a positive effect on them.
