The comedian will perform at the MVCC on Saturday as part of the college cultural series

Comedian Josh Blue will perform as part of Mohawk Valley Community College’s Cultural Series at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 12 at the Schafer Theatre, Wilcox Hall, on the college’s Utica campus.

Tickets are $20 general, $15 for MVCC employees and free for MVCC students, and are available for purchase at www.mvcc.edu/tickets.

Blue exploded onto the national comedy scene in 2006 when he captured the laughter and hearts of millions as the winner of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Since then, he has risen through the ranks to become an established headliner in theaters around the world. This summer, he finished in third place on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” and now he’s back on the road with his “As NOT Seen on TV Tour.”

Critics said Blue was not a cerebral palsy comic; he’s a comedian who has cerebral palsy. Blue typically performs over 200 shows a year, spreading laughter and breaking down stereotypes of people with disabilities. Her stand-up routine is ever-changing and her improvisational skills ensure that no two shows are alike.

Due to COVID-19, the schedule of events is subject to change. All events will comply with federal, state, and county guidelines, as well as the MVCC Responsible Restart Plan (www.mvcc.edu/restart). If in-person events are not permitted or capacity restrictions make events impractical, virtual options or postponements will be listed on www.mvcc.edu and the Cultural Series Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ MVCCCulturalSeries).

The Cultural Series is provided by the MVCC Cultural Events Council, in conjunction with the MVCC Program Council, with significant support from student activity fees. For complete series programming and ticket sales, visit www.mvcc.edu/culture.
